Sophronizō Woman

Women's Bible Study
Women’s Bible Study

Our women’s Wednesday Bible Study is named from the Greek word Sōphronizō, found in the book of Titus chapter 2 verses 3-5. The focus of this women’s bible study group is on the admonition given for the older women to teach the younger women that “they be reverent in their behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things, that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.”

Bible study begins at 11:00am and the start time is flexible depending on the location rotation. For location information email:

Sophronizō means to:

  • restore one to her senses
  • to moderate, control, curb and disciple
  • to hold one to her duty
  • to admonish, to exhort earnestly
