Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?” And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground. So now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth.” – Genesis 4:8-12
When Cain killed Abel, his own flesh & blood, Abel was innocent of any wrongdoing and undeserving of death. He was murdered by his brother in cold blood in a fit of rage and jealousy. God clearly condemned this heinous act. God knew that Abel was dead for He said “The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.” God is all-knowing so it can be safely assumed He knew that Abel was dead at the very moment life left him. But it is very important that we note that Abel’s “blood” cried out to God. His blood cried for vengeance… for justice. No blood that is spilled goes unnoticed by God.
In an earlier post on this blog, a shocking and appalling statistic was shared. “43,800,000 abortions worldwide in 1 year”. Let’s put that into context. The population in California in 2015 was estimated to be just under 40,000,000. In 2015, the population of Columbia was estimated to be 48,500,000. In one year, the number of babies aborted worldwide before they are born would be equivalent greater than Columbia’s population. Putting it another way, in one year, the number of babies aborted worldwide equals the total population of 24 states in America from the smallest population of Wyoming (586,107) to Connecticut (3,590,886). That is an incredible amount of innocent blood being spilled on a daily basis. That is 120,000 babies a day!! (Population Data Source-https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_and_territories_by_population & https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_and_dependencies_by_population)
The position that the Pro-Choice (pro-abortion) push is that it is a woman’s right to decide. On a website, I found this quote from a Pro-Choice advocate, “I am pro-choice because I don’t think there is any reason why a woman should have to face all the consequences from something she did not do alone. If a guy can get a woman pregnant and then run away, there is no reason why she should be the one responsible for everything. Having more options puts a woman on more equal footing with men, instead of being someone of whom they can take advantage. In addition, I believe that it is best for a child to not be born at all than to be born hated, to a mother who is forced to have him because she has no choice, and not because she wants the child.” Emphasis mine. (Source-http://web.mit.edu/pro-choice/www/reasons.html). Consequences? Getting pregnant is what happens when abstinence is ignored by unmarried individuals. Getting pregnant is what happens when female birth-control (depending on the BC can also be abortion) is not used or when the male birth-control is not used. Options? Options to terminate a life? Forced? Pro-Choice accuse Pro-Life of being heartless. Who is really the heartless ones? Who is terminating a life for convenience?
A baby’s heart can be heard beating at around 6 weeks. The baby moves quickly from the embryonic stage (the 5th to the 10th week from conception) into the fetal stage (the 11th week until birth). During the fetal stage, the nervous system forms, the face begins to change and become recognizable, the arms and legs begin to grow, the baby’s gender soon becomes identifiable and muscles begin to form and cause movement. Many states allow that a baby can be aborted up to 24 weeks. TWENTY FOUR WEEKS! It is a living, human being! The Pro-Choice lobbyists will do their very best to convince you otherwise. The one point I would like to make is that if someone is pregnant and they do not abort, the odds are very high that a human baby will be born. The logic that it is somehow not a baby when it is aborted or as Hillary Clinton contends has no rights whatsoever is beyond comprehension. Simply put, abortion ends the life of an unborn child. It is murder. No matter what kind of spin the abortion lobby puts on it, it is the willful and pointed end of a living human baby. All to often, the statements all favor the mother for their convenience rather than face the real fact that the baby is the one that gets worst part of the deal. And the one fact that remains is it always ends in the murder of a life.
The abortion industry is big money. It has been estimated that the abortion industry brings in over a billion dollars each year. Now, thanks to the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), abortions are free! Right now, Pro-Choice is waging ware in an effort to defund the biggest provider of abortions in America, Planned Parenthood. The news and the internet are filled with tales of the atrocities performed at multiple abortion clinics around the US. The war to defund Planned Parenthood is being fought on both sides of the aisle. Meanwhile, the blood of the unborn cries out to God for vengeance… for justice.
The bible says “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.” – Psalm 139:13-16. It is abundantly clear that God formed us in the womb. He watches us as we grow. Abortion kills His creation.
As a nation, I believe we are experiencing God’s bridled wrath for the murder of so many babies. I personally do not believe that we are facing the full wrath of God but it is coming. It is guaranteed. His judgement comes slow. 2 Peter 3:9 says “But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”
As a believer, it is an OBLIGATION to cry out to God on behalf of all the blood of the unborn that has been spilled. The church must rise up and champion the cause of the innocent. There are alternatives. MANY people are willing to adopt a baby and provide a loving home. Adoption is a great alternative to abortion. I for one will be eternally grateful that my biological mother decided to put me up for adoption rather than abort me.
I’ll end with this quote from Ronald Regan, “I’ve noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.”
